Hello!  This section have been created to help you find answers to questions you may have when we are closed.  They have been separated according to its respected category. For example, all embroidery related questions are regarding orders - so, all questions will begin with EMBROIDERY:  and the same goes for the other categories, SEWING, BUSINESS, etc. If you cannot find your question or answer to a question you may have, please send it to kandia@kandiahaynesworth.com or TEXT to 570-733-4300. I will answer it as quickly as I can and may add it to this section for future reference for other clients.

    EMBROIDERY: Is Shipping Free on All Orders? top

    No. Shipping is free on ONLINE orders only.  Delivery time for online orders are 3-4 weeks or 6-8 weeks in some cases.

    EMBROIDERY: Are deposits accepted for orders? top

    Deposits are NOT ACCEPTED for ONLINE ORDERS. These orders must be PAID IN FULL.

    Deposits are NOT ACCEPTED FOR RUSH/EXPRESS DELIVERY ORDERS. These orders must be PAID IN FULL.

    Deposits ARE ACCEPTED for Telephone, Email, Text Orders that are custom/special orders with an expected delivery time of 3 weeks or more.  For example, if you placed an order by telephone for a Baby Boutique Box and your order's total is $200. with a delivery time of 6 weeks from the baby shower date/date you would like your order.  A payment arrangement can be made.

    If you wanted a Baby Boutique Box arriving to you in 2 weeks, a payment arrangement cannot be made. This order must be PAID IN FULL.

    EMBROIDERY: Can I get my order faster than 4 weeks? top

    Yes, but you must place your order by telephone, email or text.

    EMBROIDERY: What is required for deposits? top

    60% down and 40% Paid 1 week [7 days] prior to your delivery date.  For example:  Your order total is $100 and due 6 weeks from today.  Your deposit would be $60.  Your balance would be $40 and must be PAID 5 Weeks from today... which leaves 1 week from your due date and gives me time to ship your order to you.

    EMBROIDERY: What happens if I cancel my order after a deposit have been made? top

    All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.  Sorry, your funds will not be returned to you. This is because materials, supplies and labor have been invested in preparing your order.  Your deposit will cover the costs incurred.

    EMBROIDERY: What happens after I place my order? top

    Regardless to how your order was placed, you will be sent an email with the details of your order for confirmation of correct spelling, colors, fabric choices and an invoice for your order.  After you receive this email, we'll wait for you to send us your approval and submit payment for the invoice's balance.  Thereafter, your will receive a progress report on your order's status... If your order is scheduled to be shipped promptly, you will receive a tracking number to monitor your order while its en route to its destination.

    EMBROIDERY: What if I make a mistake in the spelling of a word/name/lettering? top

    Unfortunately, if a spelling error is made by you, you will be responsible for submitting payment for an order to be made over.

    If a spelling error is made by us, we will cancel the order and issue you a full refund, offer a discount if you are willing to accept the order into your possession, or issue you store credit toward future orders. You will have the liberty of choosing which you option prefer.

    SEWING: What if I do not finish my project? Do I have to pay again for the same class? top

    Projects are generally completed per session.  However, we can accommodate students up to additional 20 minutes after class time have expired.  If students have not completed projects within 2 hours and 20 minutes - an additional charge at a discounted rate will be applied.

    Please note, students should not assume time to accommodate is available.  In some cases other students may have made arrangements to work on projects during non-class times.  Please speak to instructor regarding extra time needed.

    SEWING: Can I bring my own sewing machine? top

    Yes.  However, there is an outsider's fee of $20 for using your sewing machine.  Our machine rental fee will be deducted, and replaced with an outsider's fee.  This will cover basic instruction of your machine.  Please call or send an email to Kandia to inform her you would like to bring your own machine so she can properly accommodate you.  It is not a good idea to show up to class with your machine without notice. Every minute counts!  Your area for sewing is prepared for you with a sewing machine rental. If you show up with your machine unexpectedly - it delay you getting started, as we will need to clear the area we've set up for you, plus set up your machine and review the manual.  

     

    SEWING: Can I bring my own materials and fabrics? top

    Yes. However, tuition rates are not reduced nor discounted further.  The rates will remain accordingly.

     

    SEWING: What is the additional fee for the Sewing Instructor coming to my home? top

    $10.00 - Residential Fee.

    $5.00 - Commercial Establishment [Your work place, church, school, etc.]

    $0.00 - For you to come to sewing instructor's home studio in Henryville, 18332

    SEWING: How are travel fees applied? top

    Travel fees are applied on a as per student basis.  This means if I come to your home to teach 2 children how to sew, your bill will have travel fees of $10.00 x 2 students = $20.00 added to your total.

    SEWING: How can I receive a discount for sewing lessons? top

    Discounts are applied when you register for a class with a sewing buddy or in groups of 4 or more. This means if you register with a sewing buddy - you will receive $5 off your sewing session that your buddy and you are registering for.  If you register with a group of 3 or more you will receive $10 off your sewing lesson's tuition and they will receive 10% their sewing tuition as a group discount.

     

    BUSINESS: What is embroidery digitizing? top

    Simply put, embroidery digitizing is the process of converting your image/logo into embroidery stitches. 

    BUSINESS: How long does embroidery digitizing takes to process? top

    Embroidery digitizing services takes approximately 5-7 days to process.  This is because our studio is open Thursday-Sunday and during the embroidery digitizing process I go into my studio to work on your embroidery digitizing presentation on days when the studio is closed.  Presentations are detailed and thoroughly presented with swatch[es] of your embroidered logo.

    BUSINESS: What are the costs for Embroidery Digitizing? top

    Embroidery Digitizing fees are based on the amount of thread colors your logo have.

    1 Color - $35

    2 Colors - $50

    3 Colors - $70

    4 Colors - $85

    5 Colors or More $99

    This is consider your SET-UP fee. These fees pays for your presentation, embroidery digitizing process and fabric embroidered swatch[s].

    BUSINESS: What should I do to get started with Embroidery Digitizing services? top

    You should contact me to discuss your logo/image or ideas.  Some clients do not have logos or images but they will usually have an idea of what they would like to have embroidered.  You should have a picture saved in your phone and ready to send by text message to: 570-733-4300 or send jpeg to kandia@kandiahaynesworth.com.  If neither option is good for you, you should be prepared to direct me to the location of your logo/image.  This could be a website, blog, facebook page, etc.

    I will need to review your logo/image before giving you an estimate.

    BUSINESS: What do I need to provide your company with to get started with Embroidery Digitizing? top

    1. You will need to provide us with a clear jpeg.  Gritty, faded, or unclear pictures cannot be digitized and will be rejected.

    2. You will need to sign and return a LOGO AUTHORIZATION FORM in which gives us permission to digitize your logo and embroider a swatch.

    3. You will need to submit payment for the embroidery digitizing services prior to us getting started.
